The purpose of this theoretical paper is to provide CTE researchers and consumers with procedures for conducting meta-analytic research. The highlights presented include an overview of the history meta-analysis, selected meta-analysis procedures, and advantages of meta-analysis. The paper cautions that CTE consumers and policy makers should be aware of some of the limitations associated with meta-analysis. A key assertion of this paper is that meta-analysis will be most valuable when used by those who are conversant with career and technical education. Finally, strategies for obtaining effect sizes for selected SPSS analyses are provided.", pages = "103-116", itemtype = "ARTICLE", parent_itemid = "infobike://acter/cter", issn = "1554-754X", eissn = "1554-7558", publishercode ="acter", url = "http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/acter/cter/2010/00000035/00000002/art00005", doi = "doi:10.5328/cter35.208", keyword = "meta-analysis, career and technical education, effect size" }
